The antithesis of art snobbery, Leopold Gallery was founded by Paul Dorrell in 1991. Paul and his staff work tirelessly to promote regional artists on a national level and to structure mentoring programs for underprivileged teenage artists. Paul is a determined advocate for local artists, author and art consultant for major projects including H&R Block’s Downtown Corporate Headquarters, Overland Park’s Convention Center, the University of Kansas Hospital and the National D-Day Memorial in Virginia. Nationally recognized, Paul believes that arts are a cornerstone of any civilized society and says, “We've got outstanding artists here. They just need a little recognition. And cultivation.”
