Description: Located in Ranch Mart South Shopping Center, the Ranchmart Theatre first opened in 1967 as a twin theatre. After retro-fitting and renovating the theatre complex in retro décor, The Fine Arts Group brought this aging 40-year old theatre complex out of the shadows to reopen as The Leawood Theatre in 2006. The Fine Arts Theatre Group, a business devoted to restoring and operating vintage movie houses, is dedicated to bringing unique motion picture entertainment to discriminating patrons who prefer to view films presented in classic theatres--where the show starts on the sidewalk out front.
